In 1995, CJ Stafford decided to end her 20-year career with Johnson & Johnson. With a BS in biology and an MS in biology and toxicology, she spent years as a toxicologist ensuring the safety and efficacy of wound closures. Then, she moved over to the marketing side of the business, serving various roles in public relations, healthcare professional marketing and consumer affairs for Splenda® brand sweetener. That included building the brand’s first customer care program from the ground up.

When it came time to do something different, CJ wanted to leverage her knowledge of science and compliance so she formed Stafford Communications.
